About the Founder, Ebony!
Hey, I am Ebony! A Queensland girl at heart, even though life has taken me across many corners of Australia, I’m an outdoor-loving, adventurous soul with a very can-do, try-anything attitude. I thrive on travel as it fuels me, inspires me, and constantly opens my eyes to new ways of living and creating. Exploring different places has shaped who I am, especially when it comes to personal style and self-expression.
Through my travels, I became deeply intrigued by fashion around the world, but nothing captured my heart quite like the style in the USA. After visiting America four times, it truly had me hooked. I fell in love with the effortlessly cool, carefully curated, fun pieces that felt elevated yet wearable styles I simply couldn’t find back home in Australia.
Alongside this passion, my life is grounded by my partner Harley and two Chow Chows, Arlow and Miley, who keep me present, balanced, and constantly reminded to slow down and enjoy the little moments. Family is extremely important to me and I feel deeply grateful to have the opportunity to build another family through the Gliss community. Gliss was born from this blend of curiosity, adventure, and a desire to create something unquestionable and meaningful.
About Gliss
Gliss officially launched on May 26th, 2025, but the name itself dates back much further. When I was around 14 years old, my sister and I were obsessed with the Kardashians during the earlyDash era.
Inspired by how they created a brand from their surname, we took our own last name and created Gliss. We promised each other that one day we’d start a company together without knowing what it would be, only that we dreamed big. Years later, I realised that Gliss perfectly aligned with the movement I wanted to create: confident, feel-good fashion that feels effortless and accessible.
After my third visit to the USA, I began seriously researching the brands and boutiques I had fallen in love with. I quickly discovered that many wouldn’t ship to Australia at all, and the few that did were charging upwards of $80 just for shipping. Over months of deep research, truly diving into these boutiques, their sourcing, and their business models, I slowly pieced together a plan to bring these styles to Australia at a more reasonable price. Gliss The Label was created to bridge that gap: delivering stunning, comfortable, confidence-boosting pieces inspired by international fashion, without the barriers.
